Autism is a condition which is characterized by sensing a great struggle in communication and relationship formation with other people while having troubles in language and abstract concepts. Jonny Hickey was diagnosed with autism when he was very young and he had anxiety and nervousness. He wouldn’t talk or interact with people outside his family.
When his mother Linda Hickey heard a story about a near-dead dog in the television, she decided to adopt it. And this dog was all the change Jonny needed. His family had spent thousands of dollars on therapy but nothing seemed to work, but when Xena (the dog) came home, his whole life had a move for the better.
