Most of us think that horses can only fall asleep while standing up. However, it is completely untrue! According to the experts, in the wild, horses are in constant danger of getting attacked by the carnivorous animals so they take rest while standing up. Even though they get little sleep from it, it is not quite enough. So once in a while, they do lie down to have proper sleep.
But for the domestic horses, like this horse in the video below, they don’t have to fear any wild predators. In fact, they can easily fall asleep under the open sky basking in the sun. But this has created a bad habit in them, i.e. snoring.
