No matter the species, in the animal world compassion and love are universal. This little bird smashed into a window so hard it immediately fell to the ground motionless. Soon after, another bird flew by and started doing something that made all the people who happened to be there reach for their cameras.
At first, my heart was breaking because I thought the bird was mourning the death of his friend, but he was doing something else – he was helping him regain consciousness. Sure enough, seconds later it woke up with probably the biggest headache ever but alive and kicking.
