One man found a calico kitten stranded on an abandoned roadside in the middle of the woods while driving – and he wasn’t going to leave it behind. Carefully, he scooped the kitten up and got back into his truck – he had planned to ferry it to the local vet.

The kitten had fleas and ticks, but thankfully, nothing major. The kitten soon warmed up to its rescuer, and even fell peacefully asleep. Doesn’t he look content!

“I found this little lady in the middle of a buys street so I stopped to pick her up. She was crawling in the street in an area only surrounded by woods so she was either born there and the mother didn’t get to transfer the whole litter or someone just dumped her,” wrote Matt.

After a day of sightseeing, the kitty must have been exhausted!

Matt took her to the vet to try and get rid of all the fleas, and as soon as they got in the truck to head back home, the little baby kitten fell asleep. Matt didn’t have the heart to wake the sweet pea, so they stayed in the truck for about an hour until she woke up.

Matt was so intrigued by the kitten’s nap time – so he decided to snap a picture! So SWEET!

Update: She’s now living happily at a good home

Matt was not able to keep the kitten at his place, but he made sure to find the kitty a safe and loving home.“I’m stupid allergic so I had to find her a home. “I used to work at a vets office and vetted a few potential adopters. I paid for the first round of de-worm medicine and gave her to a lady with another rescue cat,” Matt said.

And to make it even better? The family who adopted her also have another rescue cat, and luckily, they get along very well!

We are so happy that Matt stopped to help this little baby, and we are so glad she found her forever home!

If you think that this little lady is absolutely adorable (I mean LOOK at that face!!) and are glad she was adopted into a wonderful caring and loving home, SHARE this post!
