The future of a dog, named Frodo, was uncertain. However, after being rescued his life changed completely. Before his rescue, the poor animal did not know what it was to be loved, nor did he have a single friend in the world. His state of neglect was so advanced that it was hard to look at him!

Frodo changed completely from the moment he began to receive a little love and affection. People of good heart discovered Frodo wandering the streets of Croatia. The dog was hungry and covered with all types of filth and, in addition, his eyes were swollen due to an infection that had not been treated.

Some people even considered Frodo a little scary, however, he just needed help. Kaludija Sigurnjak, who was accustomed to rescuing dogs in deplorable conditions, was frightened by Frodo’s condition. “I was shocked. I could not believe it was a dog. “Said the woman. “I started taking care of him immediately.”

After gaining his trust, Sigurnjak rushed to a veterinarian, where the puppy received all the necessary care. There, a veterinarian said that the puppy’s right eye was so infected it would need to be removed.

Fortunately, the left eye was saved and Frodo was not completely blind. Still, the state of health of the dog remained very conditioned. “He was full of fleas, ticks and was hungry,” said Sigurnjak. “We were not sure he would survive.”

Frodo was fighting for his life… In the following months, the dog began to gain some strength and improve.

Slowly his inflamed skin began to return to normal. As his health began to improve, Frodo’s energy and joy also began to be reborn. He was not the same anymore!

“His transformation was phenomenal,” said the woman. “We never thought he’d become so beautiful.”
