Montee is trying a bath for the very first time and it looks like he really likes it!
Montee is a hairless cat, or Sphynx cat. They are a relatively new breed of cat started in the 1960s and are, in fact, not truly hairless. They actually have a “chamois” type of fur, which feels like a fine layer of down. They also need more baths than regular cats because their body oils (which would normally be absorbed by hair) tend to build up on their skin, so it’s a good thing that Montee seems to like them!
Mom certainly has made sure he has lots of toys to play with!
Not all cats are as easy-going about water. Take Tigger for instance. Tigger’s response to his first bath is exactly the opposite!
