It’s fun to see these two singing together, but keeping an owl for a pet is not something to be undertaken lightly and is, in fact, illegal in the United States and most countries.
Individuals caring for owls require special permits and are usually part of wildlife rehabilitation. This youngster is likely being rehabilitated before he can be reintroduced to the wild.
