Animal welfare organization Freedom Farm Sanctuary did many amazing rescues and gave second chances to many animals in need, but the rescue in the video below is sure to tug at the heartstrings.
Two 6-week-old lambs have been rescued one day from a crowded farm where they were about to be slaughtered, they were brought after to the organization’s animal reserve. The two little lambs were, of course, frightened and cautious of the caretakers. But when the lambs refused to eat or drink, their caretakers became very concerned.
There was definitely a cause behind this attitude, so the Freedom Farm started investigating, they discovered then that the two lambs’ mother was still on the farm where their little ones had been rescued — just days away from the slaughter.
So the organization decided to step in and do what it has to be done. They don’t want to risk losing the two babies. Staff returned to the farm to save the mother. Fortunately, they made it just in time.
As the mother was brought to the Freedom Farm Sanctuary, the little lambs were inside the barn. They suddenly heard a familiar sound — and immediately recognized their mother.
Their ears stood up and they looked curiously around.
