Two dogs showed up at two separate animal shelters within the same community in Davenport, Iowa. Known as Quad City communities, the dogs were both found by good Samaritans and taken to animal shelters for urgent help.
One of the dogs, an emaciated pup named Emmanuel, died shortly after receiving medical care due to the extent of his injuries. The poor dog could not walk and was nearly lifeless when he was found.

“They are the worst injuries I have ever seen firsthand on any animal,” Kings Harvest Pet Rescue Assistant Director Rochelle Dougall stated.

The other dog arrived at the Quad Cities Animal Welfare Center. Two young girls saved the Pitbull mix after witnessing a man hang him two feet off the ground and kick him repeatedly.

That second dog, named Angel, is receiving medical care and expected to survive. Dougall wants the community to get help if they need it.
“They don’t have a voice and we will continue to be their voice but if you have an animal that you do not want, there are resources available to you to do something with the pet, instead of harming it,” Dougall stated.
