When our soldiers undertake the heroic task to defend our freedom, they also have to leave their loved ones behind. As hard as that must be for the people in their lives, it must be heartbreaking for their pets, who can’t know where their humans have gone or when they’ll return.
Hannah is an army private who had to say goodbye to her senior dog when she left for basic training. It was the first time in 13 years that she and Buddy would be separated for an extended period of time. Buddy suffers from arthritis is almost completely deaf; she doesn’t get around like she used to, but when Mommy comes home on break? You just have to see how active and happy this old furbaby is to see her.
It’s a joy to watch, and the ultimate welcome back for one of our heroes.
