The officers at the Franklin Police Department in Massachusetts had worked hard to collect donations of toys to be gifted to needy children on Christmas. The officers were baffled when the toys started going missing from their charity room. Naturally, the officers did what they do best – investigate!
In a hilarious conclusion to the “investigation”, the officers found that the culprit was their own therapy dog named Ben Franklin! Ben was busted when one of the staff saw him walking out of the toy room, boldly carrying a “baby doll in its carrier” by its handle! Ben even had a secret “lair” under a desk where he would store all his heist treasures!
The officers couldn’t help but laugh off this amusing “burglary”. As for the stolen toys, Ben had slobbered on all of them, so there was no way they were going back to the toy room. Ben is one happy boy as he gets to keep the stuffed llama, the penguin, and the baby doll that he stole earlier!
After this incident, cops make sure to lock the doors to the charity room to prevent further “break-ins”! Apart from this odd thievery incident, Ben is otherwise a very good boy who comforts kids in crisis. Let’s face it, a room full of toys is an enticement that can tempt any dog. Can we really blame him?
