A four-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier sat in the Arizona Humane Society and watched 347 dogs get adopted before her during an event.
The baby was brought to the shelter in November 2018 after being found as an injured stray and was adopted soon after, but the family returned her when they had to move and couldn’t take her with them.

Once again, Baby was left without a home. Since then, she had been overlooked hundreds of times, through no fault of her own, and she wondered why no one wanted her.
Arizona Humane Society took to Facebook to try and find a home for the “93-pound lap dog,” after she was the only dog who hadn’t been adopted.

Nicholas Potter and his girlfriend saw AHS’ Facebook post and immediately went to the shelter to meet Baby.
“How can one dog be left over? That’s not right,” Potter said.

As soon as they met Baby, it was love at first sight. They knew Baby would be the perfect addition to their family, and luckily decided to adopt her!
Baby has since been warming up to her new family and home and is already as spoiled as can be. She finally has the family she always wanted, and her favourite spot to be is her new comfy couch!
