Peel Regional Police have reported a bizarre shooting incident that happened during a meet-up for an online puppy sale. The buyer turned out to be a puppy bandit who tried running away with the puppy. But karma intervened and the thief ended up shooting himself!

Investigators explained that a 9-week-old American Bulldog, Tarzan, was set to be sold around Skylar Circle in response to an online classified advertisement. The buyer, an unnamed 20-year-old from Brampton, straight-up refused to pay. He instead took his “Colt .45” firearm out and stole the puppy at gunpoint.
However, the thief accidentally fired his gun at his own leg while fleeing. He started bleeding and immediately collapsed to the ground. The thief was taken to the hospital where he received emergency care. Tarzan was also returned to his owner unharmed.

Authorities are now asking people to be extra-vigilant while conducting online pet sales. Any physical transactions must be made at designated safe spots. Cops are still investigating this case, and the suspect is expected to be charged with robbery and firearm-related offences. Spread the word.
