All dog owners know how hard it is to capture that perfect pic of their pet to show off to the world. So try to imagine having 17 furry friends to photograph at once! Kathy Smith loves her big happy family, but it’s been tough trying to get that nice family portrait of the entire gang — until now! ????
Kathy is the mom to 8 dogs – Sheba, Teddy, Max, Ben, Ruby, Storm, Rio, and Mishka — and 9 cats. In addition to those furry pets, she also has 4 budgies, some fish, and a baby hedgehog!
First, she would start with just the dogs to see if she could get them to cooperate. When the 8 dogs seemed up to the challenge, she added the others and moved on to the ultimate goal. But it was the cats who kept messing it up by moving around, and she had to put them back in place three times!
But then it finally happened; For just a moment, all 17 pets sat pretty and looked directly into the camera the photo she’d always dreamed of! ????
“I was so thrilled when I realized I’d captured this shot – it’s like a little family photo,” Kathy said.
