When a good Samaritan brought a homeless dog to the Humane Animal Rescue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, staff immediately noticed the pup was in terrible pain. The sweet little eight-month-old dog they named Ethan was examined by the medical staff and a diagnosis was made.
Sadly, the amount of pain poor Ethan suffered was caused by demodectic mange, a severe skin infection. Additionally, Ethan had secondary infections on the face, neck, abdomen, and legs. Words alone cannot describe the agony this little guy must have been in.

Ethan did not suddenly wake up with this condition, and someone probably knows what happened to him. As he is being treated for his illnesses under intensive medical care, he will need at least two months of treatment.

A post about this dog on the Humane Animal Rescue’s Facebook page has garnered a lot of attention and requests to adopt him when he is ready.
We wish you a successful recovery and a happy forever home that deserves your love, sweetie.
