A man from Jacksonville, Florida has been charged with illegal dogfighting. Forty-six-year old Terry Thomas faces at least 15 charges related to animal cruelty, dogfighting, intentionally causing cruel deaths and unnecessary suffering.
Neighbours say they saw and heard dogs on the property but claim they never knew there was dogfighting going on.
“He don’t fight dogs, no he don’t do that,” a man who would only reveal himself as Brian said. “He just raises dogs.”
Animal services confiscated dozens of dogs recently but it could not be confirmed if the dogs were from taken from the Thomas property.
When Duval was booked into Duval County Jail, he was being held on a nearly $13,000 bond. However, he bonded out of jail but will be held accountable for the charges against him.
