Violet, a paralyzed Cocker Spaniel who resides with a foster through Camp Cocker Rescue in Los Angeles, depends on her custom wheelchair in order to get around.
Unfortunately, her wheelchair and all of her disability supplies were stolen, along with her foster mom’s car.

In addition to her wheelchair, she also had special boots that she wore to protect her feet when they drag on the ground. She also had a certain car seat that she used for the car.
Everything Violet needs for her daily routine are now gone.
Violet was originally rescued by Camp Cocker Rescue from the Balwin Park/Los Angeles county animal shelter in January 2017.

She could barely walk or use her back legs at all. Her bottom was covered in callouses, sores and urine burns from being dragged on the ground and needed to be cleaned regularly.
She received an MRI, which revealed scar tissue on her spine from a major trauma that happened at least six moths prior.

Since surgery was no longer an option, she began physical therapy to strength her body and was fit with a custom wheelchair to help her walk long distances with ease.
Sadly, she never found an adopter, because of the round the clock nursing care that she requires. Thankfully, the rescue was able to find her a permanent foster home through their Forever Foster Home Program.

The rescue hopes the thief will be caught.
In the meantime, Eddie’s Wheels for Pets has generously built Violet a replacement cart that they were able to ship to her overnight.
Watch her story in the video below:
Violet is one of the "perfectly imperfect" doggies that Camp Cocker Rescue saved from the Baldwin Park/Los Angeles county animal shelter, but she never found an adopter. She was up for adoption for a long time in 2017 but because of her round the clock nursing care that she needs, it was a challenge to get her adopted. We got super DUPER lucky to have found Violet a permanent foster home and Violet became a part of our Forever Foster Home Program (where we sponsor her expenses for life). Violet's foster mom's car was stolen a few days ago, along with ALL of Violet's supplies! Her wheelchair, special boots, car seat, backpack, etc. EVERYTHING Violet needs for her daily routine, so that she can continue to live a happy life. We've ordered her a new custom wheelchair and all of the other supplies to replace what was stolen, and if anyone would like to help with the cost of these supplies you can do so in three ways:1.)
