A woman named Jennifer Vaz was walking her dog along the Shrewsbury River in Monmouth County, New Jersey, when the muffled screams of an animal caught her attention. Jennifer found a caged dog choking on sand and water along the banks. He was clearly drowning.

Jennifer rescued the dog just before the rising tide would have swept him away. She named him River and reported this incident to the Monmouth County SPCA. After investigations, it was found that the dog was left to die by a 35-year-old man named Aaron D. Davis.
Further investigation revealed that Aaron had planned to kill the 8-month-old dog in an attempt to exact revenge on his girlfriend and her ex-boyfriend. The dog was a gift from the ex-boyfriend, so Aaron viciously wanted to get rid of him. Let’s put the word out and help catch this psycho.

Update: Aaron has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty. He was brought to a jury for hearing, where he defended himself saying that he never intended to “kill” the dog. However, the jury convicted him and he will now face up to 18 months in prison when he is sentenced in February. Let’s raise our voices and demand maximum penalty for this evil man.
