An Arkansas family is left grieving after their young child died in a devastating house fire. Firefighters recovered the 23-month-old Loki Sharp’s torched body from the house hours after he allegedly ran inside to rescue his 6-month-old puppy.

Parents Kurtis and Caitlin Sharp had initially brought all their children out to safety. They regret having lost track of Loki while trying to put the fire out. The little one was extremely attached to his puppy, but his parents never imagined that he would re-enter the house and walk right into the flames to save the pooch.
Loki’s family expressed their pain and heartbreak through a series of heartfelt posts on social media. “Fly high baby boy u are extremely missed and loved. We know ur home and it kills us to see u have to go so soon. But mommy and daddy and all ur siblings and family love u dearly.” the mourning family wrote on Facebook.

The Gentry Fire Department has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. The Sharp family lost all their possessions in the fire and has reached out to the online community to help raise funds for baby Loki’s funeral. Spread the word.
