Special Needs Dog Facing Daily Struggles After Carjackers Steal Her Wheelchair

Violet is a special needs Cocker Spaniel seeking public help after losing her wheelchair and all her disability supplies in a car theft. The car belonged to Violet’s permanent foster mom, Nami. The stolen supplies include Violet’s protective boots, her car seat, and her backpack, among other essentials.

Violet was found by the shelter in 2017 with severe urine burns from being dragged around in her own waste. Rescuers say she suffered severe trauma as a puppy which left her paralyzed from the back. California’s “Camp Cocker Rescue” helped her get stronger with daily physical therapy. Getting Violet her custom-made wheelchair changed her life miraculously.

Now as a result of the theft, Violet has lost her mobility again. Violet is a part of the rescue’s “Forever Foster Home” program, where the shelter sponsors her medical and diet expenses. The shelter has requested people to contribute toward Violet’s care so that they can refill her disability supplies as soon as possible.

The shelter also shared a picture of Violet’s wheelchair. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of the thieves or this custom-wheelchair is requested to contact the shelter or the authorities in Los Angeles. Let’s spread the word and help the cops catch the thieves so Violet can get her wheelchair back.
