Rescuers Seek Help After More Than 12 Pets Go Missing In A Transport-Van Crash

The staff at “Wright-Way Rescue Admission & Medical Services Campus” has reached out to the public for help after several in-transit pets went missing following a crash. Apparently, a car hit their transport vehicle in Jackson County, Illinois, resulting in significant damage to all the crates holding the animals.

An initial statement reports that the driver of the transport vehicle is critically injured and has been hospitalized. Out of the 45 animals in the van, approximately 9 dogs and 3-4 cats/kittens are said to have panicked and scattered away after the crash. Most of them were either already adopted or were up for adoption.

Many locals have jumped in to volunteer in the ongoing search of the missing pets. The shelter has also asked people to keep food and fresh water out in case any of the homeless pets come wandering. If you retrieve any of these missing pets, you can drop by the shelter at their Murphysboro address. Please Spread the word and help locate these helpless pets.

Update: Thanks to overwhelming support from the community, the shelter has found most of the missing animals. However, the 3 kittens are yet to be found. Meanwhile, the shelter is working toward replacing their vehicle while also caring for the retrieved animals. Let’s spread the word and help the missing kittens be found soon.
