In April of 2019, Solstice and her sibling were abandoned on the side of the road in a crate with dry food poured all over.
The crate was too small for both of them to fit inside, and they were left with no water. They were both terrified and confused, as they sat there all alone, waiting for someone to save them.

Thankfully, a good Samaritan discovered these two helpless pups and contact Niagara SPCA, who gladly took them in.
Solstice’s brother was adopted soon after, but sadly, Solstice still remains at the shelter, wondering why no one wanted to give her a home too.

Shelter staff is baffled as well as to why Solstice hasn’t been adopted yet. She is so sweet and gentle and loves every single person she meets. She would love to have a new home for the holidays, or the very least by the New Year.
Solstice, who is a two-year-old Terrier Pit mix, would do best in a home with children over the age of 7 and no other dogs or cats.
