A poor homeless dog was stranded with paralyzed hind legs after being hit by a car. The reckless driver escaped without a trace, never bothering to get help for the injured dog. The dog was left screaming in pain for hours.
A passerby eventually noticed the dog in distress and made a rescue call to Animal Aid Unlimited. By the time the rescuers arrived, the dog had resigned to his fate and dragged himself to a lonely corner to hide his crippling pain.
The rescuers scooped up the dog and begged him to keep his strength. At the hospital, the vet found that the dog had sustained heavy spine injury and nerve damage. He had no fractures, but it was still impossible for him to stand without collapsing.
The caretakers named the dog Mr. Kisses and started caring for him tirelessly. They fed him and kept him under complete rest for 6 weeks. Mr. Kisses was out of danger, but he still needed intensive physical therapy to walk again.
Toward the end of this video, we see Mr. Kisses’ amazing recovery after his long and rigorous healing period. He has turned into one happy and playful boy who runs to his rescuers to shower them with kisses.
Mr. Kisses’ story is a reminder that every wounded stray animal can survive with timely help. Let’s get the word out that people who hit animals by accident must get the animal the help they need!
