Golden Retrievers Get Under Mistletoe & Start Kissing Just Like Their Humans

Jennifer Moraso from Richmond, Virginia, has shared a delightfully cute video of her 10-month-old Golden Retrievers, Bacardi and Isla, diving into the festive fun. In this video, these 2 cuties are seen kissing each other under the mistletoe, thereby causing the internet to go nuts over this unbearably cute display of affection between the doggies!

Jennifer explained that this is Bacardi and Isla’s first Christmas ever and she wanted them to celebrate it in their own special way. When asked about how she got them to kiss for the camera, Jennifer revealed her 2 nifty “weapons” – peanut butter and patience!

The picturesque mistletoe plant has been associated with healing, peace and fertility by our ancestors, which gently helped set this cute Christmas ritual in motion. While kissing under the mistletoe has been a tradition on Christmas holidays for centuries, no one ever expected dogs to play along too!

Bacardi and Isla’s festive smooches might have won hearts all over the world, but mom Jennifer has asked owners to be careful with having their pets around the mistletoe. This plant is known to be toxic to pets, and one must stay vigilant and prevent pets from licking or swallowing it. Stay safe and keep sharing the love like Bacardi and Isla!
