A very nice woman, named Diana, found a puppy on the street, all alone and very scared. He was hiding in the bushes and she couldn’t get to him. She called for help but every shelter was closed until she came across Hope For Paws. Because they understand that these things happen 24/7 and animals need help 24/7, they are available 24/7… makes sense, right?
Eldad and Loreta came to help, armed with their famous red leash and cheeseburger. What they saw was NOT what they expected. This was a puppy! Small and scared, waiting for his hero. They blocked the perimeter with a plastic fence just in case he got spooked and bolted. Then, crawled behind the bush with bits of a cheeseburger to lure him out. He was starving! He even nibbled on Loreta’s finger! Tiny puppy nibbles! OH EM GEE!
With some determination and sweet talking, Loreta was able to pull the puppy out. She named him “Fox.” You could see that he was so relieved to be safe and sound. When they got back to the shelter, they found he had a microchip. Fox had an owner! When they called her, she said something quite heartbreaking.
