Residents of Simi Valley in California are terrorized by a ferocious mountain lion lurking in their neighborhood. So far, the mountain lion has viciously attacked 2 dogs on separate occasions, leading to the death of one of the dogs.
The first reported victim of the mountain lion was Pumba, a 6-year-old miniature Schnauzer. Pumba spotted the mountain lion during a potty-break and charged at her. But the tiny dog was easily overpowered by the powerful beast. Pumba’s mom punched the mountain lion and tried to free her dog, but it was too late. She had to flee when the mountain lion angrily growled at her too.
After Pumba’s death, a man named Michael Cheng also reported the mountain lion’s attack on his dog, Sammy. Sammy survived the attacked but sustained severe bite wounds. Michael was petrified to see the mountain lion waiting outside his home and planning to prey on Sammy again.
In another incident, a family’s young daughter was home alone when the mountain lion stared at her from the screened front porch. Authorities say that the mountain lion is an 8-year-old female whose tracking device isn’t functional anymore. They have issued a high alert and asked the public to keep their kids and pets safe. Put the word out.
