11 Traumatized Dogs Rescued From The Hideout Of Billion-Dollar Dog-fighting Ring

Volunteers of Michigan Humane Society joined hands with Detroit police to rescue 11 dogs from a suspected wing of a dog-fighting ring. A raid team busted 2 properties on Anglin Street to recover these dogs, while also collecting evidence of torture suggestive of the dog-fighting ring’s abusive practices.

In this video, we see the cops accumulating boxes of evidence from the houses. They found sled mill treadmills, brake sticks, and potent injectable drugs that were being used to condition the dogs for aggressive fights. The houses were boarded up, which helped the ring to operate discreetly.

The Humane Society is working with the rescued dogs and it is too early to determine whether the dogs can be put up for adoption. The volunteers commented on how the dog-fighting ring has grown into a billion dollar industry worldwide. There is a huge market for dogs that are conditioned to fight.

The Humane Society has thanked the Michigan lawmakers who recently passed the “Senate Bill 416”. This bill helps the volunteers have a greater control over the dogs rescued from such abusive gangs. Authorities have asked people to keep an eye out for any suspicious dog-fighting operations behind closed doors, and report the same. Put the word out.
